Oxford Circus – DNO Power Supply Changeover

The existing 185mm2 4core SWA DNO (emergency) power supply from the street to Oxford Circus station was disconnected and replaced with a 150mm2 4 core SWA supply from a new local DNO transformer (installed by others).

The isolation and changeover required preplanning and notification to all affected end users due to the DNO supply being switched off throughout the whole station.

Upon commissioning of the new supply, the station was checked to ensure all DNO end equipment was fully functional & operational. The work scope included the removal of the redundant feeder cable plus the relocation of Moving Image Advertising power supplies.
