The interior of a large enclosure (constructed by others) that covered two thirds of the length of Road 38 in the Main Shed at Ruislip Depot required heating internally. This was to raise the ambient temperature within the enclosure to the level required to support the train refresh tasks being undertaken by the depot staff.

The project required the installation of insulated external ventilation ducting from external heating sources to a balanced distribution ducting system within the enclosure.

CMS was installed along the external wall of the Main Shed, to support new power cabling to the heaters, which in turn was supplied from new switchgear installed in the local electrical switchroom.
